Rhys & Sam
I had the incredible opportunity to be invited to photograph Rhys and Sam’s wedding in Mallorca, my first job as a Destination Wedding Photographer!
They chose Zoetry Resort in the middle of the Mallorcan countryside as their wedding venue, and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I arrived on the morning of the wedding. The hotel lies on the site of an old 14th century monastery, beautifully restored while maintaining its history and charm, the ground still features its original neo-gothic chapel, which is where Rhys and Sam held their ceremony.
The ceremony was just right, the perfect balance of humour and sentiment. Sam looked absolutely beautiful as she walked down the aisle. They had the fantastic Paul Valentine as their celebrant who performed an outstanding service.
The ceremony was followed by drinks and canapes by a windmill (yes, there was also a windmill at the venue), before heading to the hotel’s charming and rustic courtyard for dinner and speeches.
When the sun was getting low in the sky, Rhys, Sam and I headed back to the windmill for some last portraits, and I am so happy with what we got.
What a venue, what a party, what a vibe. I feel so lucky to have been a part of it all.
